FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

Kidderpore College with its commitment since its very inception and specially after last NAAC visit and re-accreditation in the year 2016 till date continuously with evolving academic progress. To provide a suitable academic platform for all students and faculties, to fulfill the co-curricular & cultural need from all spheres we are doing our best. Spreading the root of education, basically for the downtrodden and minority students of our locality is the main moto of our institution. Despite being a small college situated in the heart of South Kolkata, it has been re-accredited by UGC (NAAC) with Grade B in the year 2016. It has also updated full and final AQAR and IQAC report recently. In last academic session we have launched our Anti-Ragging Cell & Students Grievance Redressal Cell in a new form and modified manner. In our College the running students are also benefited by Computer Lab, Online Library Book borrowing System, Smart Class Room etc. Kidderpore College also welcome the new generation students with more promising attitude and modernized environment for their future academic and professional growth.

Though we are still struggling to update our infrastruduaal lackings and space problems, we have a strong determination to overcome all our difficulties. Our faculties and various internal committee members are good enough in their constructive activities and perceptions. They are using their computer oriented technology as per new CBCS syllabus and emphasizing various interactive teaching-learning process in classroom atmosphere. The research-based acclaimed publications, departmental seminars, invited lectures and intake of referred journals are also achieving it’s great role gradually. The social responsibilities like NSS, debating and Quiz Competitions, Creative Writing Session, Gender Sensitization & various Career Counselling Programme are successfully going on proper faculty guidance.

Moreover, the college has an ambition to start on a Handicraft Club as one of the best practices which can hold an exhibition with students crafts in collaboration with neighboring college-students on the day coinciding with the day of parents meet. The college aspires to expand larger with new campus in near future. All of our employees are concerned in such way, that we can exert our scope and commitment for better prospect and growth for enriched educational potentials. However, we also enjoy the variety of cosmopolitan ambience and texture in between students, teachers and non-teaching staff for our beloved institution.
